Desired Academics

I attended Marblehead high school all four years of high school. I started on the varsity football team my sophomore year, and was voted captain my senior year. I also was voted as a conference All-Star for my junior and senior year, and led the team in receptions both of those seasons. During high school, I also played basketball and lacrosse, as well as participating in a Big Brother type program with a local 9 year old boy while not playing football. I attended several college combines and clinics, and was recruited by several colleges to play football, but I believed that serving my country was more important at that time in my life then playing at the collegiate level. I enlisted in the Coast Guard, and went to boot camp in Cape May, NJ. in August, 2014 after graduating high school.
Since being in the Coast Guard, the core aspects of Honor, Respect, and Devotion to Duty are principles that I try to incorporate in to my everyday life. I have been active duty now for almost two and a half years, and have saved five people in my time at 2 Search and Rescue stations. Having the opportunity to serve my country in the areas of homeland security while being in the Coast Guard is a great honor and privilege, but I now know I am ready to move onto the next step of my life and challenge myself both athletically and academically.
