I was a four year varsity Quarterback at Columbus High School in Columbus Wisconsin. My sophomore Year of high school i was named 2nd Team All- Conference Quarterback and most Improved Player on the team. Junior year I was named 1st Team All-Conference Quarterback. My final year Playing at Columbus i was named All-Area Quarterback. My initial plan was to continue my career in college playing football. I worked hard at everything i thought would help me get to the level that other college athletes were on.Being activily recruited by many Division II and Division III schools i still did not know what to do with the choices that had to be made. In my family i have a total of three brothers and one sister. All three of my brothers serve in the United States Army my sister in a elementary teacher in California. With a tradition and obligation to serve our country it always was in the back of my mind what would be thought of me if were the one not to serve. After many, many talks with my parents, coaches, friends and family i decided that i wanted to serve with my brothers. I never Knew my decision to serve was the right choice for me. I knew it was a honorable thing to do, but didn't know if i was throwing away a dream that i had worked for so many years or just giving that part of my life up and moving on to being a adult. After all my training had been done and all the people I've met I know that I'm not done when it comes to football. Being in Hawaii gives me a opportunity to train even harder through out my work day and after when training to play football again someday. My dream would be to go the University of Wisconsin and graduate with a bachelors degree in Sociology. Although that is a high bar to reach, i will work towards it, but at the end of the day I'm willing to play anywhere to get back on the field and further my education.
